Oulu XI Comics Festival will begin at the Rovaniemi library on 11th of November at 5:00 p.m. (Eastern European Time, EET) The evening’s opening ceremony can also be followed via live stream. This time, the third year of the event, winners will be announced in the Comic Strip World Championship competition. In addition to the world champion and the 2nd place runner up will receive fame and glory. Søren Mosdal from Denmark will arrive to be interviewed. This year the comics residency organized by Oulu Comics Center and the Liminka School of Arts welcomes the resident artist Joana Mosi from Portugal to tell us about her work.
Greetings to the Oulu Comics Festival and the Comic Strip World Championships will be sent by Mr. Lordi, the lead vocalist of band Lordi which originates from Rovaniemi. Members of Rovaniemi Comics association will be telling visitors about their comic-related activity.
