24th November 2019 12:15-13:30 o’clock Oulu city library, Sarjasto Comics Pitching brings artists and publishers together. Oulu Comics Center organizes an opportunity for comic book artists to introduce their ideas and projects to a jury which consists of representatives of numerous publishing houses.
Comics Pitching is a one of a kind possibility to get new contacts and to get direct feedback from professionals publishers of the comic book industry. The Jury: Vesa Kataisto (Täysi Käsi), Harto Pasonen (Arktinen Banaani) and Jarmo Stoor (Nispero kustannus). Oulu Comics Center Director Harri Filppa leads discussion. Each participating artist has exactly 5 minutes to introduce their project. In the presentation you must use a slideshow in which the slides will change automatically every 15 seconds.
Please send 15 numbered slides (1600×1200 pixels, jpg) to Oulu Comics Center via e-mail (sarjakuvaoulu@gmail.com) if you want to participate in Comics Pitching as an artist. Deadline is 8th of November. In your e-mail please state your name and the name of your project and write a short description of your project. Only about six artist can be chosen for Comic Pitching. The Jury will decide which of the artists they want to meet.
