Liminka School of Arts is the oldest free form school, that has mainly educates art forms from the year 1966. Students can choose classes from comics and fine art department. We have theatre department starting in autumn semester 2017 also.

Comics arts department teaches one to become a comic artist. Syllabus is for two years, but student can choose to study one or more years. Students are justified to get governments student allowance. Students can have an influence on the syllabus. Beginners are introduced to basic skills and medias, more advanced atudents find new ideas and perspectives and get a change to concentrate on comics.
Student amount is yearly 30-50 persons and are guided by two regular teachers, professioned in comic arts. We also have visiting teachers through the semesters.
There’s no entrance examinations- if you can write you get to learn make comics.
