CAPITAL OF NORTHERN COMICS

Oulu is the city of panels. The center of Oulu is a historical grid plan area where you can come across with many different cultural experiences. The Oulu Comics Center has panels for every day to look, to read, to borrow, to buy and to draw. In the Comics Library, Sarjasto, you can experience panel filled moments and marvel on the spot or borrow and take home. Street art brings a riot of colors to the streets and fairways.

The Oulu Comics Festival fills the city with panels once again in this year. The festival is the largest annual comics event in the arctic region. City of Oulu is a lively and inspiring meeting place in the field of comics culture. This site offers a lot of information about Oulu region’s, northern Finland’s and Arctic region’s comics.

The website is maintained by Oulu Comics Center, which is part of the non-profit society Oulu Comics Association.
