Have you ever felt uneasy, angry, sad, or unaccepted? What do you do with those feelings? We usually think about "fighting our inner demons", those things within us we just can't stand, that we hide or lock away so nobody gets to see the shameful and distorted images of ourselves that may make us feel unlovable.
But what happens when we take a closer look at them? What situations trigger them? Where do they come from? And, most importantly, if they are already there, what should we do about them?
In this exhibition, through the work of Mexican comic artist Lourdes Garcidueñas and her students from Limingan Taidekoulu, you will discover how difficult feelings and inner demons become the fuel that gives life to graphic narratives and illustrations.
Could it be that our demons simply want to be heard?
Could it be that, by turning them into art and sharing them with others, we can begin to see them as part of the human condition?
