In this competition the contestants will have few days to create a comic strip with a given theme. This year, the competition returns for its seventh time. Mark your calendars for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oulucomics.com\/fi\/cswc2025\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"7439\">Comic Strip World Championships 2026<\/a>! On <strong>September 9th, 202<\/strong>6, the pencils will dance again. And that comic art is a powerful vessel for sharing thoughts. Through this competition, we aim to inspire everyone to pick up a pen, to draw, and to tell their stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition is organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oulucomics.com\/fi\/fest\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"12\">Oulu Comics Festival<\/a> &#8211; the northernmost annual comics art event in the world and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oulucomics.com\/fi\/keskus\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"4\">the Oulu Comics Center<\/a>, which promotes comics awareness especially in the farthest northern corners of the globe, across the Euro-Arctic regions. The idea was born at a time when societies and borders were closed.
