We are happy to announce that we had 27 amazing applications all around the world to our first residence program organized together with Liminka School of Arts. After a hard selection together with the Director of Oulu Comics Center Harri Filppa, Comic Teachers Tessa Astre and Mikko Jylhä and the director of the Art School Ari Karvonen we had two finalists competing at the end.
After the second round we decided to invite Amr Mohamed Talaat an artist from Cairo, Egypt, to be our guest for the late Autumn. Amr Mohamed Talaat has worked as the Head or Caricature department at Tahrir newspaper in Cairo and as an Instuctor in fine arts Mansoura University. Amr Mohamed Talaat is a freelance Illustrator and Comic Strip artist in various Egyptian ans Arab magazines.
