Oulun Sarjakuvakeskuksen tapahtumakalenteriin on koottuna pohjoisen Suomen sarjakuvaan liittyviä tapahtumia.
Tilaisuuden aluksi esiintyy En ala -äijäbaletti. Ikämiesten balettiryhmä on yhdistänyt Oulun seudulta kootun porukan elämää jo toistakymmentä vuotta. Ryhmä esiintyy balettiasuissa tuoden huumorimieltä katsojille ja ballerinoille itselleenkin. Klubi-isäntä Aapo Kukon vieraaksi lavalle saapuu kaksi oululaista ja yksi kemiläinen sarjakuvataiteilija kertomaan uusista teoksistaan. Pitkän linjan sarjakuvataiteilija ja sarjakuvaneuvos Keijo Ahlqvistin jo ennen ilmestymistään mieliä pahoittaneen teoksen K ei joo (Täysi Käsi) satiirivisiot ja sarjakuvarunoelmat haastavat vakiintuneet käsitykset ja herjaavat niitä, jotka esiintyvät toisia parempina ja käyvät väkivalloin viattomien kimppuun. Kokoelma on ilkeä parkaisu suoraan lukijan silmille. Lauri Ahtisen paljon keskustelua herättänyt Eropäiväkirja (Like) on jatkoa Homepäiväkirjalle. Ahtisen perhe selvisi riipaisevasta homehelvetistä, mutta parisuhde päättyy ravisuttavaan eroon. Suorasukainen, omaelämäkerrallinen sarjakuva kertoo, miltä vuoroviikkosinkkuus tuntuu. Alkaako tästä uusi elämä täynnä biletystä ja vapautta? Osuuskunta Puhuri esittää teoksesta kohtauksia lukuteatterin keinoin. Ahtisen sarjakuvanäyttely on 1.8.–12.9. esillä Valveen Sarjakuvagalleria!ssa, johon pääsee tilaisuuden aikana tutustumaan taiteilijan johdolla. Näyttely avaa taustoja teoksen takaa ja maalaa lisäsävyjä kirjan sivuihin. Sira Moksin teos Köyhien sota (Täysi Käsi) sisältää poliittisia pilakuvia. Perinteiset suomalaiset pilakuvat kiteyttävät sanomansa vitsiksi, joka hymähdyttää lukijaa, mutta Sira Moksin kuvat eivät edusta perinteisintä linjaa. Ne ottavat aiheensa henkilökohtaisesti, iskevät avokämmenellä päin näköä ja naurattavat harvoin. Vitsit jäävät kurkkuun, kun taiteilija suolistaa kohteensa todellisen olemuksen kaiken kansan nähtäväksi. Tapahtuman päätteeksi kuullaan Sira Moksin sarjakuvamusiikillista improilottelua, joka haukkaa todellisuutta tai menee sen tuolle puolen. Luvassa siis paljon ääniä ja kuvia! Tapahtuma on osa Oulun Muusajuhlien ohjelmistoa. In the beginning of the event En ala male ballet will perform. The ballet group of grown men has already brought the lives of its members gathered from the Oulu region together for a couple of decades. The group performs in ballet dresses which brings good humour for the spectators as well as the ballerinas themselves. Two comics artists from Oulu and one from Kemi will arrive onto the stage as guests of the club host Aapo Kukko to tell about their new comics. The satire visions and comics poetry of the book K ei joo (Täysi Käsi) by the veteran comic artist and the agent of comics Keijo Ahlqvist which even before of its publication hurt feelings, challenge the established opinions and affront those who claim they are better than others and attack violently the innocent. The collection is a nasty howl directly to the eyes of the reader. Eropäiväkirja (Like) by Lauri Ahtinen has triggered a lot of discussion and is a sequel to Homepäiväkirja. The Ahtinen family survived a heart-rending mold hell, but the relationship ended in a shocking divorce. Straightforward, autobiographical comic tells how it feels to be an alternating-weeks single. Will a new life full of partying and freedom begin? Osuuskunta Puhuri will present footage from the book by means of a reading theater. The comics exhibition of Ahtinen will be between 1st of August and 12th of September at Comics Gallery! in Valve. During the event, you can visit the exhibition and meet the artist. The exhibition opens the background behind the book and paints extru hues on the pages of the book. The book Köyhien sota (Täysi Käsi) by Sira Moksi includes political caricatures. Traditional Finnish caricatures crystallize the message in a form of a joke, which makes the reader sneer, but Sira Miksi’s pictures don’t represent the most traditional line. They take their topics personally, hit open-handedly to the face and make the reader seldom laugh. The jokes get stuck in the throat when the artist disembowels the true essence of the target for everyone to see. For the ending of the event, we will hear a comic-musical improv feast by Sira Moksi, which bites the reality or goes beyond it. So, there will be a lot of sound and pictures!
