PÄIVITYS. Jorma Pitkäsen vierailu Oulun taiteiden yössä on peruuntunut. Oulun Sarjakuvakeskus järjestää Jope juhlanäyttelyn esittelyn galleriakierroksella 16.8. klo 15-16.
Jorma "Jope" Pitkänen on suomalaisista sarjakuvantekijöistä kenties tuotteliain. Uransa aikana Pitkänen on tehnyt yli 40 000 julkaistua sarjakuvaa. Valvegallerian Jope-näyttely esittelee näistä sarjakuvista murto-osan. Esillä on useita Jope-klassikoita originaaleina. Mukana muun muassa kaikkien rakastama Näkymätön Viänänen. Näyttelyn vetonaulana toimii Pitkäsen suunnittelema Jope-tintamareski. Näyttelyn on tuottanut Suomen Sarjakuvamuseo. Näyttelyä on tukenut Suomen Kulttuurirahaston Pohjois-Savon rahasto.
